The Killbear Park visitors' centre sits on a peninsula that juts from the rocky coastline of Georgian Bay. Built as part of a network of venues that commemorate the Great Lakes' natural, cultural, historic and recreational values, it provides programming space where visitors learn about ecology and stewardship. The building also houses exhibition areas, exterior viewing areas, a theatre, cafeteria, research offices, staff amenities and a reception lobby.
