CIGI Campus

This graduate school is devoted to international affairs and global governance. The project was a joint partnership between CIGI (Centre for International Governance Innovation), Wilfrid Laurier University and the University of Waterloo. The design of the building is a contemporary take on the classic “Oxbridge” campus style, centered around a landscaped courtyard and bell tower. The structure of the three-storey academic wing consists of Bubbledeck slabs (poured in place, biaxial, voided). The auditorium features a soaring 11-metre long cantilevered canopy and employs pre-cast concrete bearing walls with a steel framed roof structure supporting an extensive green roof.
