  • Program

    Completed for the Toronto Public Library, this project was a complete restoration of the original 1915 Arts and Crafts style building, and a complementary 2,000-square foot two-storey addition. Structural systems include new lumber infill with steel girders to create large open spans that mimic the structure of the original building; interventions to accommodate revised circulation; cast-in-place concrete foundations with underpinning beneath the existing structure to accommodate the basement walkout that forms the new entrance.
